PURE Initiative, the Tampa Bay nonprofit that runs a cleanup somewhere around the bay every month, brings its November cleanup to Picnic Island Park. Work the shoreline on foot or paddle in with your kayak. The cleanup runs 8 to 9 AM, followed by weigh-in, disposal, and prizes from 9 to 10. Gloves, bags, supplies, and donuts are provided, so just wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. Sign in at the registration table and complete the digital waiver; volunteers under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign onsite. Park near the Disc Park.
