A free Friday afternoon book talk under the minarets. UT's Scholar's Symposium brings in Nicole Rizzuto to discuss her new book, Arresting Ecologies, in the Music Room inside historic Plant Hall.
Friday, Nov 6, 4 to 5:30 p.m. The book argues that writers and artists around the world drew on experiences of stalled and blocked movement to push back on the speed-everything impulse of the Anthropocene, and it offers a different history of the 20th and 21st century English-language novel. Free and open to the public.
